Following some speculation previous this week, Prince William and new spouse Kate will really vacation the West Coast -- California! -- This summer, Clarence House confirmed Thursday sunrise in a declaration.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will vacation California, United States of America, subsequent their Tour of Canada in July this year," the Palace says. As before announced, William, 28, and Kate, 29, will kick off their first overseas trip with an extensive tour of Canada. Their California outing will be from July 8 to 10, with a full itinerary provided at a presently date.

The Palace notes that, even though William has traveled the U.S. confidentially, it's his first "official" travel. As for the Duchess, the U.S. trip will be a complete new world, really: "The Duchess of Cambridge has never before traveled the United States of America formally or confidentially."

Previous this week, royal watcher Andrew Morton speculated that the royal pairs could hang out with the likes of colleague Brits-turned-L.A.-transplants David and Victoria Beckham, who attended their Friday marriage.

Victoria and David Beckham -- informal royals! – reached at London's Westminster Abbey on Friday.

The expecting designer and mother of three, 37, dressed her baby bump perfectly in a dark-navy dress, high heels -- and a "fascinator" headpiece by Philip Treacy. The designer's showstopping pieces are also supposedly being worn by Prince William's cousins Princess Beatrice and Eugenie of York and also-engaged royal Zara Phillips.

Soccer star David, 35, wore a suit by Ralph Lauren. The celebrity pair headed out from their L.A. home on Wednesday with their sons Romeo, Brooklyn and Cruz for the big day.

The athlete wasn't frightened to gush regarding the nuptials in a recent Facebook video message. "It really is wonderful. Our country desires it. Our country wishes it. The British community loves the royal family.'

                                                          

He new: "I was brought up approximately the royal family and around loving the royal family with my granddad, with my nan."

Victoria, meanwhile, has a fan in Kate Middleton, who has requested ceremonial items (not a wedding dress, though!) from her summer collection.

"It seems that she likes my clothes," Beckham told Us Weekly in February. "It is extremely exciting!"
